iPhone Hackers are Banned by Apple – Is this a Warning Message?

It would appear that Apple are banning iPhone hackers from their iTunes apps store in an attempt to clamp down on the ongoing security problem with their iPhone OS. Reports from Jailbreakers Sherif Hashim and iH8sn0w have suggested that Apple has banned their Apple ID following their latest hacks on the iPhone.

The Apple iPhone has always been scrutinised for its weak operating system as it has been frequently hacked, which is partly the reason why it has never taken off in the corporate world, so are Apple attempting to diminish these security threats by banning Apple iPhone hackers? Well, it maybe the case…

Both Sherif Hashim and iH8sn0w were behind the discovery of recent iPhone exploits, and have both received a "This Apple ID has been banned for security purposes" notification whenever they have tried to log into the actual apps store to download an app.

Sherif posted about the ban on his twitter account yesterday. Saying:

“Your Apple ID was banned for security reasons”, that's what i get when i try to go to the app store, they must be really angry :)

and guess what my apple ID was, “sherif_hashim@yahoo.com”, what a fool was me not to notice :), can't help laughing, they are babies :)”

So what do we make of this recent activity by Apple? Although there have been reports of a handful of hackers being stung by the Apple iPhone security ban, I don't whether it would be possible for Apple to ban every known possible Apple iPhone hacker in the tech world.

Instead it would appear that this is a warning message to Apple hackers that they maybe at risk of getting blacklisted should they crack their phones. I am not too sure how much this will affect the hacking world, however after reading this article, your everyday 'joe blogg' jailbreaker make think twice before jailbreaking and downloading pirate apps on their iPhone.
