Virgin Media have announced that it will be the first ever phone provider in the UK to offer free home phone call to their Virgin mobiles.
This is due to start on the 1st of April, in which Virgin hopes that the move will give ‘families and frequent callers a chance to save hundreds on call charges to mobiles each year.”
However free calls will only apply to Virgin customers who are ringing to a Virgin mobile, which I am not sure is as good as it all sounds, especially as I know that a lot of my friends and family are not on the Virgin network.
Also, the free side of things will apply dependant on what package a customers is signed up to and calls have to be less than 60 minutes. Those on XL phone packages will get the free calls all the time, L packages will get the free calls evenings and weekends, while M people will only get the free calls on weekends.
So ok, this might not apply to a majority of Virgin customers out there but I suppose every little helps so thank you Virgin!
