As the saga continues in the technology world on ‘We had it first’ between the US and Europe, it appears that Europe have always been poor losers in this battle. With the recent announcement that the Nexus One is going to be available in the US, I could hear the groans from the Europe as yet again the US got first dibs on Google’s widely acclaimed Nexus One phone.
However, recent news reveals that Google maybe giving the US the brush off by offering multi touch support on the Nexus One when it hits Europe soon. This information apparently came from Germay’s Heise Online, which showed their Nexus One including pinched zooming, however according to Google this is just a rumour and it will be no different to the US version.
Ok, so we’ll take Google’s word for it, however it does raise some suspicions amongst industry experts as this has happened before in the tech world when the Motorola Driod was released in the US and then came over to Europe as the Motorola Milestone, which included multi-touch support. Whatever the truth on the matter, I still think we should keep our trust in Google until all is revealed when the phone is officially released in Europe.
The Nexus One will be offered by Vodafone in the UK, and pricing will apparently be “similar to those Vodafone offers for its wide range of smartphones”, according to the network. We’ll bring you more specific details when they’re announced.

So far I think sounds good. when the nexus released than will findout if it better than Iphone.
I can confirm that the Nexus one does have multi touch capabilities. A friend has one and after updating it the multi touch is now working. I am patiently waiting for this phone. I was thinking of getting the HTC desire to test drive the 2.1 Éclair OS but will be waiting for the Nexus. I hope they sort out of the bugs before the UK release.
This is like waiting for babies to be born. Come on Google Push push breath now Push.
