So the Consumer Electronic Show 2010 starts tomorrow in Las Vagas. 100,000 attendees will be getting sneak peeks of the latest not yet released must have gadgets for the year to come.
Yes I’m really jealous to not be going. But surfing round the net, here’s my very own wish list for what might be unveiled at CES 2010.
3D TV
It keeps been touted at the cinema by Sky, and ESPN are going to be launching a 3D channel too in 2010. 3D Blue Ray Players are also something we’re hearing more about these days. So hopefully CEX will give some indication about why we should be returning that newly purchased HD TV.

Project Natal
Last years E3 showed off some pretty impressive stuff for the new controller free XBox 360 controller. I’m definitely interested to see if any new developments have been released, and to see if it’s as good as claimed. And the PS3 motion censor wand seems worth a closer look too.

Pocket camcorder developments
This one is being heavily voiced by PC World, and I hope they’re right. With the success of pocket camcorders such as the Flip Mino in recent years, the computer giants call for ‘higher-quality optics, wireless sharing features, more in-camera settings, optical zoom lenses, and 1080p video captured as high-bitrate AVCHD.’

EBook readers
The printed word is in danger of becoming obsolete if you listen to what some people are raving about products such as the Amazon Kindle. I love reading and don’t think that you could ever replace books entirely, but I’d also love to see an affordable reader, and am interested to see what inevitable extras companies could come up with to make their gadget the must have one, such as 3G capabilities.

Tablets a go-go
Although Apple will not be at CES 2010, preferring to do their own event in the wake of their rumoured iSlate, a lot of gadget affectionados out there are predicting that the show will see a glut of touch screen tablets trying to steal it’s thunder. We’ll see.

They’re just my personal five. There’ll also no doubt be oodles of phones and TVs and shiny things to get very excited about over the coming weeks.
