It’s almost December, which means only one thing- Christmas is coming! And that means that the Christmas parties will be starting in earnest and we’ll all get to pass joyful hours down the pub ignoring work. And then there’s New Years Eve to look forward to. Crack open the wine someone! But before you do, here’s a gadget you might want to consider buying first.
We’re all human, and drinking to excess is something most of us find fun. But if you don’t want to one of the almost 900 people who die in drink related road crashes every year then invest in one of these handy little breathalyzer gadgets to make sure the alcohol has left your system before you get in the car that night or the morning after. Next week, from the 23rd to 29th of November, is Road Safety Week, so it’s a great time to get yourself prepared. There are a couple of simple preventative gadgets which I think it would be worth considering.
Firstly, we have the Digital Alcohol Breath Tester. Demand for this gadget on Paramountzone has led to it being limited to five per customer- seems like everyone is buying them to keep the family safe this Christmas! 20 seconds after breathing into this keychain you get a read out telling you in layman’s terms if you’re at a ‘safe level’, ‘cautious level’ or ‘danger zone’. Until you’re safe (and seeing a smiley face!) then don’t drive. Simple.

Second up is the even easier Keychain Breathalyzer. Same deal as above, except this one uses a simple traffic light system to tell you how to act- blow for five seconds and of it’s red, stay out of the car; yellow, wait a while longer; green you’re good to go. It also has a stopwatch to help you time how long you’ve waited from that yellow light, plus a flashlight should you find yourself walking home…

This Christmas, make sure you’re taking care of yourself, your friends and your family. And make sure you make it home safe to keep reading the wonderful posts from myself and the rest of the Gaj-it team!
Next week, from the 23rd November to the 29th November is national Road Safety Week run by road safety charity Brake. This year, they’re asking everyone to commit to ‘Not a Drop, Not a Drag’- not drinking or taking drugs and driving- in an effort to stop the one in six deaths on British roads which are caused by drink drivers (a similar number is though to be caused by drug driving, but there haven’t been any proper investigations into this yet).

Very cheap, everyone should give everyone else one as a pre-christmas gift.
