Dad’s are another member of the family that you’ll find being given pretty much the same thing every year. Stereotypes are there for a reason I’m sure, but lets try and be a bit more original this year and not just get him another novelty tie which plays the ‘Star Wars’ theme like a mobile phone circa 1992…

Crazy Golf Balls
Lets start with sporty Dad. Is he proud of his putting? Happy with his handicap? Grab these and really mess with his head. You get a pack of four, one explodes, one vanishes, one ejects a stream of ribbon behind it, and the last one refuses to go in a straight line no matter how much better you are than Tiger Woods.

BrewZer Beer Making Kit
Does your Dad like a tipple? This gadget means he can beat the inflation of prices at the pub these days by making his own. You get enough kit to make ten pints, including a mini brewing device, all the ingredients and full instructions. Add water, wait 21 days and bingo! You can also buy refill packs- so that's his birthday sorted too!

EarthBox Growing Kit System
My Dad is a big gardener (we have a private joke about gnomes that's been running for about five Christmases now). But winter isn't a great time for the garden, so that's why I'd recommend an EarthBox. Your Dad can continue to care for his plants and veg from the comfort of the kitchen. The kit claims to be great for beginners as it's easier to regulate than growing things out in the elements, and there's lots of different kits available so you can tailor it to your Dad.

Wacky Racers Driving Experience
I like these experience pack gifts- they're just so different. Especially this one. If your Dad is a little car mad, then this is perfect. He gets to drive mad cars. Yup- the day at the racetracks sees him driving a desk, a sofa, a double decker car and a bed. Dick Dastardly might not turn up but take the family dog and a purple coat and you're half way there.

Duck Sock Puppet Kit
It happens every year. You can't think of a present so you fall back on that old favourite- the novelty sock. Well if you're going to be like then you might as well go the whole hog and buy your Dad a Sock Puppet Kit. Then at least he can re-enact the Muppet movies.

can’t beat the novelty sock.
I was reading your post and just wanted to see if you’ve heard of the Grow Box? I’ve tried it and I’ve had so much success. I had Spanish Onions, Cucumbers, Butternut Squash and Beets this past summer! It’s actually a bit better and a whole lot less expensive! They hold about a gallon and a half more water.
