iPhone 3GS….Now Shipped Immune To Jailbreaking!

Here’s an interesting topic, Apple have reportedly started shipping the iPhone 3GS with a new botroom that makes it impossible to jailbreak the handset.

Jailbreaking the iPhone has always been a problem ever since it’s initial release. It seems now though that Apple have finally decided to do something about it and this is what they’ve done!

Developers apparently use 24kpwn to jailbreak the iPhone but apparently the new models aren’t vulnerable to this. If you want a new 3GS  and want to jailbreak it then you would be well advised to buy an older stocked model to make sure it’s vulnerable to this, otherwise you may not be able to! Another option would be to buy a refurbished model!

My bet is that there will be other ways to jailbreak the iPhone, it just has not been found yet by developers and it probably won’t take long for them too either!

Have you jailbroke your iPhone? Would you recommend it?

  • I’ve Jailbroke mine. It is definitely worth it for the extra functionality. Why should we be stopped from using and customizing OUR phone how we want!

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
