18% of Mac users are now running Snow Leopard after just one month of release, that is according to Web metrics firm Net Applications. Considering that Snow Leopard is Intel only, that is a staggering upgrade rate but will it continue into the coming months?
This data suggests that approximately 1% of computer users worldwide are running Snow Leopard, sounds small doesn’t it but it’s not because Apple only represent about 5% of users worldwide as a whole, meaning that technically 18% of Mac users are running Snow Leopard.
Looking at Apple’s competition where obviously the main one is Microsoft, Windows use has fallen below 93%, although the release of Windows 7 will most probably cause an increase to this. Apple IS moving up in the world, even if it is slowly!
