USB Air conditioned Shirt: Don’t Look Cool, Be Cool

There are many futile USB gadgets out there, but this one gets a tick in the ridiculous box as well as the quasi-useful one. Yes, USB has finally come to clothing with the USB Air Conditioned Shirt by Kuchofuku.

Gone are the days of sitting in a meeting whilst a guy in a grey shirt indicates the company’s sales figures on a pie chart with sweatmarks under his arms that would send any sponge past saturation point.

The USB Air Conditioned Shirt does not have air conditioning despite the name, but instead has two built-in USB powered fans to keep you cool in the office. Temperature-wise, not looks-wise.

Each fan is 1.2 watts, which we understand is enough to take the edge off a hot Summer’s day.

The shirt is made from 80 per cent polyester and 20 per cent cotton, and will cost you a cool £135 (USD $221).

I will add this disclaimer: buying a shirt with an inbuilt fan does not excuse you from wearing deodorant. Especially on public transport.

  • Oh now this is a joke surely? When you’re not at your desk then you have a wire tucked inside your shirt pocket?

There are some things that you don’t need to put add USB functionality to. A shirt is one of them.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
