Apple has started to air two new “Get A Mac” ads featuring Justin Long as “Mac” and John Hodgeman as “PC”. They have continued to target Microsoft’s aggressive Laptop Hunter ads which focused solely on Mac’s higher pricing than comparably equipped PC’s.
One of the new ads called “Top of the Line” features famous actor Patrick Warburton, who played David Puddy in US sitcom Seinfield. This new ad focuses on virus’ and other things that could affect a PC’s usability but not a Mac’s.
The second ad from Apple is called “Surprise” and shows a woman “looking to buy a great computer”, and after several questions and statements that look to be aimed at a Mac, the woman is confused because they are all pointing towards buying a PC instead, Mac then takes off his costume and is revealed to be a PC.
Quite where these ads will be shown is unknown but going on previous cases, i would say on the TV on popular channels and on the internet on sites that generate a lot of traffic more than likely.
Will Microsoft respond? probably!
