The 28th August as said in a previous post of mine seems to be the date that Apple will start to ship Snow Leopard, certainly according to Apple’s UK online store.
Snow Leopard has been atop most of the news in the Apple world lately. First it smashes Amazon’s pre-order list and then with news that the Developer copy had gone gold standard, an array of rumors stating the release date may be pushed forward came about.
Today the Apple UK Store posted something interesting, but about the up-to-date programs. This is basically the page where you can get the most up-to-date programs free of charge if you have a new Macbook (bought on or after June 8th, 2009). The interesting note on the page was that there was a statement saying it ships on the 28th August and not a few weeks later in September.
While the page is accessible to the public, there is no way to order it yet. True or false or whether it was a mistake on Apple’s part, it’s certainly got the Apple heads in a spin as the release date for the popular software gets closer.
