Word is out on details for the latest Apple iPod Touch and iPod Nano, thanks to iPod case manufacturers in China.
According to a range of MI-6-esque pictures, the new iPod Touch and iPod Nano will both come with cameras.
Obviously we can’t tell from a small hole in the case how many megapixels you can expect to have at your disposal, or how much zoom you get either. Still, this is some serious confirmation of a rumour that has been flying around the net for some time now.
What we can tell for certain, is the position of the camera which, interestingly enough, will be in the middle of the iPod Touch instead of neatly tucked away in a corner.
The Nano's new camera will be positioned in the bottom left corner, which becomes top of the device when you hold the iPod horizontally to take a happy snap.
Dimension-wise, there’s no great difference to the current models, but the Nano will have a widescreen display, making it easier to look over your photographic handiwork.
It’s thought that prices will remain the same, even though your new Nano will not only come packed with a paparazzi device, but a whopping 64GB of space to accommodate for every single CD you’ve ever looked at.
The iPod Touch may also get a new video app as well, but this is far from being confirmed.
The new Touch and Nano is due to hit shops in September, just in time to take away the start of the Winter blues.

I have the 2nd generation iPod Touch and the only thing I would like to see added is a camera. I have no pressing need (there is a want) for constant connectivity. My office, home, and local café have Wi-Fi and that works well enough for me. With the addition of a camera I would be able to take those “around town†photos without the need to carry around my Nikon.
