WWDC 2009 – Not Far Away!

So the WWDC is not far away now, in fact today is the last working day beforehand as the WWDC takes place on Monday at 10.00am pacific time.

So i thought i would do a short post on some of the circulating rumors, just to make it a little more interesting for our readers because on the internet, rumors have hit high amounts.

To start with, the very first keynote presentation is expected to be massive, as it has been the last couple of years. The new iPhone model is the biggest talking point here, with the expectation being that Apple’s new iPhone model will be unveiled in this very first keynote. The Financial Times reported the following earlier on today:

“Apple plans to introduce a cheaper version of its popular iPhone as soon as Monday, in a move that could dramatically increase the company's share of the market for web-surfing devices, people familiar with the initiative said on Thursday. Analysts said that the company wanted to show off either a $149 phone or a $99 phone, down from the current low end of $199 and still subsidised in exchange for an AT&T communications service contract”

Then homegrown news from Carphone Warehouse, as AppleInsider show that they added four placeholders on their stock list for both 16GB and 32GB iPhones in both black and white, will Apple be releasing the new model in both colours?

Finally GeekSugar report, that Apple will also be unveiling a new model of the iPod Nano at the show, so let’s wait and see what happens on monday. One thing is for sure, Monday is set to be a big day for Apple!

  • World Wide Developers Conference 2009… It is Apple’s main developer conference… Apple often launch or preview products at the WWDC.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
