kooabajpg1Here’s a fantastic idea, a program that tells you instant information about a product when you either want to know what it is or when you want to know more information about it. Enter Kooaba, kinda like Shazam but with images which makes everything a lot easier!

So how does it work? You may be thinking “wow this seems complicated” but you’d be wrong, in fact it’s all at the touch of a button through a self-taken photo on your iPhone or Android. Firstly you have to press the “Take Picture” icon at the bottom of the Kooaba application,  Kooaba then searches it’s database and quickly finds what your looking for from purchasing info to trailers and even tickets directly on your phone. You can then manage all your DVDs, CDs, etc. in your personal Kooaba library,  that’s where all your pictures go…Genius!

Take a quick look at the self-explanatory video below which explains Kooaba in detail.

Kooaba even say they will be bringing books, magazines and historical buildings to the application soon!

You can find and download the application through the iTunes App Store by clicking here if you have an iPhone, or find it on the Android market if you have an Android phone, and the best thing of all, it’s free!

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
