With the UK and the USA slumping into recession, Motorola have chosen an interesting time to release a rather heftily priced $2000 (£1175) luxury mobile phone. For your money, you’d want something a bit unique to this phone, and the Aura features what is claimed to be the world’s first circular display on a mobile device- wooo…
The circular LCD display, has 16 million color and 300 dpi resolution. The phone also features a 62-carat sapphire crystal lens, which is a highly scratch-resistant material.
The switch-blade design is custom engineered with the rotating mechanism using 130 ball bearings to smoothly reveal the aluminum key pad.
The Aura has an almost disappointing 2 megapixel camera and 2 GB memory. It does however feature video capture and streaming capabilities and a battery that will provide just over 7 hours of talk time.
If you do happen to have a couple of grand on you which isn’t required to go towards other random things like food or heating bills, the Aura is currently available for pre-order through the Motorola online store.
