Sponsored: To my Scrounging Loved One…I’m not a Charity!

Author: GadgetGirl | Files under General, Shopping

If you’re the person who has a shed load of paper IOUs from friends and family bursting out of your purses and…ahem manbags, then this humorous campaign by PayPal, named ‘I’m Not A Charity’ maybe just the trick to get those IOUs reverted back to good old money.

OK, so maybe it might not be easy as it sounds getting that IOU fiver off your rather elusive little brother, but in an aid for PayPal to get younger people to use the service more and for users to get their money back from those scrounging loved ones they have created a funny customised campaign using the theme of charity to create a powerful play on words.

Asking money back is often a very sensitive subject, but the PayPal campaign uses headlines such as “£10 means nothing to you, but it could mean the world to little John”, encourages recipients to send funny tailored made emails to give their indebted friends a gentle nudge (or kick!) in the right direction to give back their money. Through the campaign microsite, online posters are produced with the customer’s photograph and a charity style headline.

So as ‘Time is Money’, check out the campaign for yourself by clicking on the link here and turn them IOUs into cash!

I know I’m the king of typos. But its “you’re” not “your” in the first line ;-)

Thanks for the heads up Lee. I’ve changed that now. Sometimes you don’t always notice your own mistakes!
