Wenger Giant Swiss Army Knife: when a nail file just isn’t enough

Author: TanyaHall | Files under Cool Gadgets, General

If this doesn’t take the cake, it will at least slice it in 67 different ways. The Wenger Giant Swiss Army Knife is a whole tool shed in your pocket, and something airport security would definitely confiscate if you forgot it in your rucksack.

It features a staggering 85 implements and is capable of performing over 100 tasks, talk about convergent technology.

The Wegner Giant Swiss Army knife comes complete with double-cut wood saw, laser flashlight, universal wrench, golf divot repair tool and of course, what Swiss Army Knife is complete without a flashlight?

Before you reach for your wallet, take the time to consider how much you’ve got left owing on your mortgage, as this device will set you back a cool £500. Well it is Swiss engineered.

The Wegner Giant Swiss Army Knife is the ultimate gadget for any Bear Grylls wannabes out there, and will no doubt come in handy the next time you’re marooned on a deserted island on an outer point of the Indonesian Archipelago.

If you’re more of an indoorsy type, it will not only come in handy for fixing the kitchen cabinets, but will also look very striking when laid out on the mantle piece. It does weigh 1.5kg though, so you may not want to put it anywhere flimsy. Like a pocket.

Presumably this is aimed for display & admiration rather than carrying around in your pocket? Also - no USB thumbdrive? Pity.

I love how you’ve managed to find something this doesn’t do!

I can think of another tool it seems to be missing. The one that allows you to wield this unwieldy thing. Maybe a handle that snaps out of the middle or passes to a health club.
