Supposedly for Christmas time this year, Google are going to be releasing a new smartphone in the UK, the Google Nexus Two. There have been reports emerging that have been saying Google plans to sell the follow up to the not so successful Nexus One exclusively through the Carphone Warehouse, who specialise in selling unlocked handsets as opposed to network-locked devices.
Although there hasn't been any word on the specs for the Nexus Two, it is naturally expected to be an improvement on the previous handset, meaning we are likely to get specs such as a better CPU, higher res screen, better camera etc. A slightly more interesting rumour on the specs is that it is expected to be running on a new Google Android Version 3.0 (or maybe it could be 2.3) which is expected to be the anticipated Gingerbread.
The rumours do seem unusual though, as the massive multi-national company Google launching a big device exclusively to just one UK high street retailer is pretty farfetched. The Nexus Two seems like a strong probability, but to be released in those circumstances just seems too unlikely at this moment.
