This question has been posed on many a bus stop around the country but what’s it all about? Well Sony Ericsson has come up with an action packed viral campaign to keep our confused appetites whetted, and we’ve got the video below. Take a look and see if you can piece together the enigmatic clues to clear up a few things that we’re still confused about.
Perhaps not-so-obviously, this campaign is linked to Sony Ericsson’s launch of their Xperia X1 which we’ve already taken a look at. As the whole campaign is therefore mobile phone related, what do you suppose are the significances of the two phone numbers that appear in the viral, specifically: +66807590136 and +15411483277? Theories have sprouted around the net of one being Thai and another American, but apart from those clues they remain as mysterious as Johnny X himself.
In true Bourne Identity style, not even “Johnny” knows who he is, so the elaborately written “S.E” at the top of a random document could obviously stand for Sony Ericsson, but to follow the mysterious theme of the action-packed mini-movie, it may very well mean something else entirely. Such as “Sam” that seems to be tattooed on a random arm on the Johnny X website?
What has all of this got to do with a new mobile phone? Why is the name Johnny X used in the first place? How can sweet and sour sauce be sweet and sour at the same time!?!
