PS3 3D Blu-Ray Support Coming Via Update 21 September

Sony has announced that they will be giving the PS3 the update many have been anticipating, with 3D Blu-ray coming from 21 September. This performance boost will be released to Japan first, with no definite date for the rest of the world as of yet.

The update which is dubbed PS3 3.50 was brought up during a press conference from Sony at the Tokyo Games Show, which is going on right now.

Although no date was given for the rest of the world, it is likely the update will come not to long after the Japan release, giving hope for 3D lovers yet. Will the PS3 becoming ready for 3D be enough to convince you to get a 3D-TV? Are you a 3D-TV owner looking forward to the update, or are you convinced to get the PS3? Leave your thoughts below.
