HTC ‘gpad’ to feature an N-trig multi-touch screen

Google have done great this year with their Android phones. The amount of Android phones on offer and the amount of apps in the market are growing daily. The next big step for Google is to translate some of this success over to the tablet market.

There's been a lot of talk about Android tablets springing up in the market and the latest rumour is that the latest table device by Google (in partnership with Verizon) will use a multi-touch screen from Israel’s secretive N-Trig company.

The HTC tablet is set to hit Verizon Wireless in November and is said to be produced with the Israeli firm in order to deliver the latest in touch-screen technology. However there is talk that a Google Chrome OS may replace Android in the software role.

N-Trig is also working on tablet projects with Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Lenovo and Toshiba.

The latest Google product has been dubbed the ‘gPad’ more than likely for, 'Google pad' and is being kept top secret at the moment. Apparently “most N-trig employees” have not even seen the prototype.

However secret the tablet is at the moment no doubt we will see some leaked images at some point.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
