In the next few days, those of you who have put your pre-orders in for the iPad will shortly be receiving the device on Friday, when the iPad is released in the US. However, unlucky for us across the rest of the world, it has been rumoured that we will have to wait until the end of April before we are able to get our hands on the iPad.
We know that it is only a matter of time before Apple reveal a more official international release date, however then again who needs Apple when we have just come across some leaked information from a trusted source.
iPadinCanada tech blog, were contacted by a source with close ties to the Apple Store in Canada, in which this person stated that April 24th had been marked as a ‘black out period’ for staff, which would means that no employees are able to book this day off as holiday.
If that is the case that not only means that this could indeed be the launch date of iPad in Canada but given the speculation that internationally the iPad would be released at the end of April, this date make sense. However, the only problem I have with this leaked rumour is that fact the 24th falls on a Saturday, and usually the pattern for Apple products to be released fall on a Friday so instead are we looking at the 23rd of April? Either way, it would appear it won’t be long before we can get our hands on an iPad in the next couples of weeks in the UK.

Saturday doesn’t seem strange to me since the release from the iPad in the USA was also on a Saturday.
I think if the starting price is £399 or more it will be very off puting for alot of people but if it is £389 or less that would be fine.
Well… as long as the date is after 19th it is all sweet for me as i get my student loan on the 19th! and at least £500 of that will be saved for the ipad :P CANNOT WAIT!
Apple have just updated their UK website.
The front page has just changed from “iPad, available from the end of April†to “iPad, available from the and of Mayâ€.
Looks like we are going to have to wait even longer.
