Apple Rumoured to Introduce 27-inch Apple LED Cinema Display and Dodeca-core Mac Pro

So we have the Apple iPad releasing shortly in the US and later next month in the UK. There are even rumours of a release date for the iPhone 4G, so what else has Apple under their sleeve this year?

Well, reports suggest that Apple is ready to introduce its 2560 x 1440 resolution 27-inch LED-backlit Cinema Display. Largely resembling the existing 24 inch model, which was introduced back in October 2008, this larger 27 inch model is a rather nice upgrade.

In the same report Apple Insider has suggested that Apple maybe releasing a new Mac Pro which is expected to feature two Xenon 5600 hexacore chips under its bonnet from Intel. However, if you're just not quite ready for such a powerful speed then insider sources have suggested that a single chip is available in 2.66, 2.8, 2.93 or 3.33GHz.

There have been rumours in the past to suggest a Core i7 Mac Pro, but this is looking unlikely due to the lack of multi-processor setup options.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
