For roughly the last hour, social networking site Twitter has been down. Twitter’s official status blog admits that the guy’s over at the social media giant haven’t a clue what’s going on but are working on getting it back up.

Mashable think they might have found a possible clue.

Meanwhile, is Facebook picking up the slack? Over at Gaj-it towers I’m regularly having trouble getting to parts of Facebook due to the server being busy. Are people, in Twitter’s biggest outage for a long time, switching back to what they know best?
