Toshiba TG01 Launch Getting Close

The Toshiba TG01 looks set to be seen on the high street relatively soon with Toshiba staging a launch event on July 9. The actual date of the handset hitting the shops hasn’t been unveiled, but we can’t have to wait much longer. tg01

Feature-wise, the phone will come with a sizey 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera and 1Ghz Snapdragon processor throwing it directly in competition with the iPhone and Palm Pre.

The handset will be powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, which may be a bone of contention for some.

Earlier this week, the TG01 was announced to be exclusively on O2 in Germany, but again there is no news on which carrier will be used in Blighty. We’ll keep you posted though.
