Last Friday LG launched three brand new plasma TVs which is exciting news in itself, but what is even more exciting is that one of these TVs is specifically designed for people living in the UK. Now, you may ask just how the universal concept of a TV can be distinctly catered to one country, other than ensuring it will fit in our plug sockets? Well the guys over at LG have done a bit of digging and have found that with the wide range of different housing options in the UK, rooms have a tendency to be on the small side or be an odd shape. This has made it a bit of a stretch for people to fit standard plasma TVs in their flat/studio apartment/next to their Tudor fireplace.
The 32PG6000 is LG’s answer to this conundrum. It is the world’s first production 32″ HD Plasma television with 100Hz and a built-in tuner. It has been designed especially for people who want to enjoy the rich blacks and high quality motion of a plasma screen, but who have been restricted by small living rooms or alcoves which have made fitting a large screen near impossible. As expected, it comes HD Ready and has built-in Freeview.
LG have also come out with the PG6900 which is a dual-tuner Freeview + Plasma. To make sure you don’t miss your favourite programme no matter how busy life gets, this TV comes with a built-in digital video recorder, with 160GB capacity. This gives approximately 86 hours recording time at standard quality, so will even cover the next Star Wars marathon. It comes in easy-viewing 42″ and 50″
versions.
If these weren’t enough, LG have also released their top of the range PG7000 which will allow you to watch Top Gear on either 50″ or 60″ screens. As well as excellent picture and sound quality, it also provides high quality connectivity, including both USB 2.0 and Bluetooth.
LG have really made an effort to provide a good range of choice with these three new releases, so that it doesn’t matter where you live, or even if you’re the kind of person who has secretly harboured a desire for a plasma TV in your tiny bathroom; this new range really has catered to everybody.
