Flee Digital Camera: When an Airplane isn’t on Hand

Author: TazzaHall | Files under Article-Type, Cool Gadgets, General

With so many digital cameras on the market today it has almost become boring shopping for one. Go into a store and you’ll see row after row of sleek, silver boxes with excellent specs all claiming to do something different- which they won’t. Thankfully, there is a new gadget on the market which promises to spice up the unrelenting conservative design of digital cameras. Introducing the Flee Digital Camera, the first camera to look more like the cool Arnold Schwarzenegger version of a fly, instead of a petite brick.

The Flee Digital Camera not only brings innovative design to the world of digital cameras, it also brings a new usability. The Flee is designed to be thrown into the air where it will then take amazing aerial shots, something that until now you would have needed a small plane’s assistance for. The aerial shots are then sent back to your mobile phone via Bluetooth, before the Flee returns to the ground ready for use again.

This means that gone are the days of you having to throw your mobile phone into the air to take a photo worthy of numerous Facebook comments. Not that those days may have existed for you, but still, you won’t have to worry about your next profile picture.

While on first glance you may be thinking, “but when will I use this brilliantly designed device?” the answers may surprise you. The next time you’re with a huge group of friends and can’t squeeze everyone into a shot, all you will all need to do it look up and smile. The Flee would also be great for some unique holiday snap shots- everyone has photos of the Sistine Chapel, but how many people have photos from what would have been Michelangelo’s point of view? Finally, you won’t need to rely on Google Maps for an aerial picture of your neighbourhood, you can create your own!

I know, I’ve had my eye on this as a potential Christmas gift! It looks like it’s still in concept stage at this point, but you can contact designer Hakan Bogazpinar about his future plans for the Flee:
