PS3 Losing Out to Xbox and Wii

Author: Arutha | Files under Gaming, News, Nintendo, Playstation 3, Xbox 360

Xbox Group Product Manager, Aaron Greenbergs recent comments will certainly be causing a stir in the PS3 boardroom. Why? Because he has stated that as the Xbox and Wii receive a great reception in the next-gen market, it seems that as a result the PS3 is definitely feeling the squeeze.

This is all down to a report released by the NPD that suggested that in the US, Microsoft was the first to shift 10 million of its units onto the US population with the Wii not far behind. But where has this left the PS3? Looming far behind, that’s where!

This means that Sony will need to buckle up fast and start re-thinking its policy because it does seem that the PS3 is losing hand-over fist with every PS3 it sells. It may be a pricey lesson for Sony…but they better hurry up and learn it fast or they could be on the road to nowhere if the Xbox or Wii have anything to do about it.

Have your say on the PS3 dilemma. Do you think it is really time for PS3 to get their thinking caps on? Share it on our Gaj-it forum or leave us a comment.

Although I think the release of GTA IV will/has really push Sony’s sales, the Wii just seems to be getting stronger and stronger.

But with Super Smash Bros Brawl comming out this will smack GTA IV sales to the ground.
