As we speculated earlier in the week LG has announced their hybrid Blu-ray and HD-DVD player. This device is the first of its kind and will cost approximately 619 ($1200) at its expected release early this year in the US.
This sexy drive will look good as part of anybodies TV set-up, not only does the design look slick it also has touch-sensitive buttons similar to the LG chocolate phone . It will play standard DVD’s too so you don’t have to get rid of your existing DVD collection but the player does not support audio CD’s.
There will no doubt be many hybrid players released this year but this will attract many who are keen to start using their HD TV’s to their full potential. It does supports 1920X1080p HD resolution and has a HDMI and Optical / 5.1CH out.
