Watson is the name of a gadget that shows you how many energy your home is using. Maybe you would like it, because it has a modern design and shows you in small charts and graphs where to save energy. But isn't it just a waste of money? Would you buy such a gadget?

We discussed the Watson gadget also on the PriceRunner forum. It is still a debate on if it is reasonable to buy one or if you better leave it.

Personally I dont think anyone would buy it, you can tell your wasting money on energy when you get the bill from your provider lol. Plus I cant see woman liking this gadjet when its cold and they want the heat on

You are right with this issue :) But I don't think that the Watson was made for such big "energy wasters" like the heating. I think it was made for smaller, unknowingly energy wasters like the standby modus at the TV. I can recon the task the Watson has and therefore I think it could be usefull.

I am for energy saving gadgets and the Watson does seem like a great idea. However at the moment I really want the EcoButton http://www.gaj-it.com/index.php/2008/08/09/ecobutton-save-the-planet-and-your-money/. I am forever running back and forth from my PC and this is perfect and practical way to save energy.

Hey,
I read the article on the econ button and it's a good thing though. I have the same problem with the computer as you and I think I should consider to buy this gadget. Where can I get it from? You bought it from the internet?
Thanks.
