Google and Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Nexus smarphone phone alongside the latest version of Android 4.0 ‘Ice Cream’ at Google event yesterday and they are hoping it will be the answer to the continued iPhone dominance of the smartphone market.

With over 750 million active users on Facebook, it’s a bit of a hard medium to pass up when trying to reach an audience. Granted, these people are quite diversely spread around the world which may not be of much use if you’re focused on selling curtain rods in Wandsworth.

As many had suspected Apple’s new CEO Tim Cook took to the stage at their Cupertino Head Quarters to unveil their new iPhone. But it wasn’t the iPhone 5 that we had all hoped for – but a iPhone 4S – essentially the same phone on the outside, but a handset that has been completely redesigned on the inside.

So no new iPhone 5, but as many had predicted an iPhone 4s. It does indeed come with the iPad A5 processor, and a new 8-megapixel camera.
You can preorder from October 7th, and will be on sale on the 14th. The handset will come in both Black and White. The prices are: 16GB for $199, 32GB for $299, and 64GB for $399.
It’s going to be available in US, Canada, Australia, UK, France, Germany and Japan.
