If you buy a large Broadband package without line rental, you will need to pay £22.50 per month, up £1.50. In certain cases, it is also going to bump the call charges by 12 percent. It would also be making some changes to its free call provision.

However, Virgin Media is not alone. Companies across the sector are looking to augment their revenue stream and major providers such as O2 and BT have already made some hikes. Virgin Media, “As part of our ongoing review of services, we’re making some changes to our cable pricing from April. On average, customers will see an increase of around £2.68 per month.”

New charges would be applicable from April 1^st and if you are a Virgin subscribers, you can expect to get the informational letter soon.

Starbucks announced that the first phase of roll out would see about 650 stores getting free Wi Fi hotspots. It would be extending the coverage over time.
