Review: Edifier e1100 Plus (Predator) Multimedia Speaker

Welcome to the review of the Edifier e1100 Plus Multimedia Speaker. As far as I am concerned, Edifier has a history of turning out good quality speakers, although some have been at a price point that might make you wince at the checkout. So when the e1100 Plus speakers arrived, I was not surprised to see that they looked the business, and felt solidly constructed, something that was lacking a bit from the e3350 speakers. I then glanced at the price, and was pleasingly surprised at the cost. For these, you can expect to part with £39.99, or thereabouts.

Cygnett Micro: Review

Today we are going to look at the Cygnett Micro rechargeable speaker. The Micro is a portable stereo speaker unit, the type you plug into your iPod, or mobile phone, and annoy people on the bus with. Joking apart, if you are traveling about and you like to hear your music while moving about, untethered by headphone cables, these speakers can come in useful.

PC game delays getting on the collective tits

Last week I was frustrated and annoyed, and for once, it was not due to having to go to work, the wife, or even my pay packet. No, it was because I am a PC gamer. I don’t have a PS3, nor an Xbox 360. I have forgone these for an expensive graphics card and a Razer mouse. Sometimes I wish I had not though because If I had a PS3, I would now be playing Assassins Creed 2, the PC version of which has been pushed back until the first quarter of 2010.

Sandberg USB CD Mini Reader Review

In the days of the netbook, manufacturers have at last got a balance between portability, and functionality about right. Netbooks like the Asus Eee pc, and the Samsung NC 10 have been tempting us with their promise of long battery life, and a fully featured OS and application suite. The balance however is usually offset with the hardware, and to get that portability, you need less of it. Out go the dedicated graphics, and power hungry CPU’s, and of course the topic of today’s review, the CD drive. Of course the quick minded lot at Sandberg have the USB CD Mini Reader that should fill the gap left by the non-existent CD drive on your computer.

Ricoh GR Digital III Review.

The Ricoh GR Digital III is a 28mm fixed focus lens, compact digital camera. The sample I have for review comes with the GW-2 0.75x wide angle lens that gives it 21mm focal length. Selling for over £500.00, this neat little camera from Ricoh is in direct competition with some entry level DSLR cameras from the likes of Sony and Olympus. Given Ricohs reputation for quality, can this compact offer something that the entry DSLR cannot? Read on to see if this is the camera for you.

So you have Windows 7.

So you have Windows 7.

So, despite the postal strikes, and the fact you have maxed out the credit card, you are now the proud owner of Windows 7. The sensible thing to do now, is rush over to the PC, open the DVD drawer, put the disk in, and restart the computer. Or is it? Well yes, because Windows 7 is pretty good. Though here are few things you might like to know before taking the plunge.

Swann Audio Spycam Review

“So we meet again.” That is what you can say to your arch enemy once you have spied him creeping into your lair through your network of hidden cameras. Have you ever wondered what cameras rent-a-villain would use? Perhaps they would be using the Audio Spycam by Swann, a small and discrete camera with an attached microphone that is designed primarily for covert observation, but could also be used as a teaching aid, or for looking in hard to see areas, like the back of the sofa or down a hole.

Review: iBlink headphones.

Occasionally you get something through your door to review that falls into the WTF category, and the iBlink headphones are just such an item. These headphones are unique in that each earbud contains three LEDs that blink in time with the music.
