It looks like Blu-Ray is in poll position and heading straight for the winning line with the launch of Sharp’s Aquos BD-HP1 recorder.
Under its sexy bonnet, it will take down approximately two hours of 1080p video at 24Mbps. Also the recorder comes fully equipped with an HDMi cable, supporting 7.1 surround and firewire.
However, the most important thing other than the techie bits, is this sleek movie busting machine will give you a ‘to die for’ home cinema experience you’ve always wanted, making you the envy of all your pals.
It’s due to be launched in Japan in March, but with the pricing expected to be about £650, I certainly will be hoping that it is a similar price when it hits our lovely British Isles, so I can grab one for my living room!
