Olympic gold medallist thanks Wii

It seems that the Nintendo Wii has even had an impact on this year Beijing Olympics and I don’t mean by increasing Beijing’s reported ‘smog’ atmosphere.

It seems that Japanese Olympic swimmer Kosuke Kitajim who got the gold medal for the men’s’ 100m breaststroke played on the Wii to help him train for the podium.

What game was he playing? Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, Kitajima told Japanese site Yomiuri Sports.

“See, Mario does the breaststroke. And thus, it’s perfect mental training for envisioning the actual Olympic hall,”

Sponsored by Nintendo no doubt ;-)

  3. I would of thought Sega as Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is a Sonic Team game.
