Eat Me Crunchy Cereal Bowl: Separate the Two Forces of Wet and Dry

Valentine’s Day is over. As everyone heads into work today with their new necklaces, leather goods and perfumes I can tell you that I won’t be jealous because I was lucky enough to receive a trump gift.

I had accused my other half of being unimaginative with his presents the week before Valentine’s and he took it as a challenge. I woke on Saturday morning not to flowers or chocolates and a declaration of undying devotion, but instead… to a cereal bowl. It’s not exactly Tiffany’s, but I’m ok with baby steps. emc2

This wasn’t just any old cereal bowl though, it was one that addressed my lifelong annoyance of the soggy cereal saga in my last mouthfuls of breakfast.

The Eat Me Crunchy Bowl comes with a removable ledge that you insert over a little reservoir. The ledge is for your cereal to keep it high and dry from the milk that swims around as usual in the bowl. Genius!

I tried out the bowl today and am pleased to report that this simple design has worked a treat. My oatibix bites were crunchy to the end.

emc As the bowl is entirely opaque, I did have trouble regulating the milk as I ended up not seeing a lot of the milk that was hidden under the “ledge”. I’m sure after a few tries though, I’ll get used to knowing how much milk I can get away with, with each spoonful.

The bowl itself isn’t exactly wedgewood, but this is a fun kitchen device so I prefer it to be dishwasher safe and cheap!

Priced at £4.75 you can easily afford one for your loved one, and (unless your a toast-eater) one for yourself.
