It seems that the Wii is still on top in the Japan sales figures by a comfortable 3:1.
In a more understandable context, it seems that while the Wii sold around 171,851 units during the July month the Playstation 3 only shifted 54,823 units off the shelves.
This could still be due to the price tag issue or the fact that the Japanese value novelty over power but either way it’s showing the Nintendo console is still fighting fit.
