Sonic With Swords!?

It seems that the new Sonic game that has been announced for the Wii might have the famous blue hedgehog carving his way through the level with a sword! Rather than the traditional spins and jumps.

Nintendo Power magazine has a cover with the famous blue hero wearing not only a huge metal glove but a huge sword being held with it.

Could this mean a Sonic style star wars move, or could it simply be Sega making a mountain out of a mole hill……. or in this case a hedgehog hill.
