Meccano Spykee Robot: A Remote Control Spy

Author: TazzaHall | Files under Cool Gadgets, General

Robots, are cool. Remote control gadgets, are cool. A remote control robot that has a camera, microphone and uses WiFi so your PC can control it, is Arctic.

The Meccano Spykee Robot is the perfect gadget for anyone who likes to keep an eye on things. It works as a CCTV device but is far more unique than an ordinary old camera mounted to the wall, which is the first thing a would-be burglar is on the look out for.

You can stealthily monitor your home while you’re away on holiday or even use it to stay in touch with the family when travelling for work.

The beauty of this device is that the CCTV camera can be controlled from any location in the world thanks to its WiFi connection. This means that you can be in Australia and still keep tabs on what’s going on in your Glasgow flat.

It works thanks to a very clever built-in motion detector that will sense any movement. Once it does, Spykee will then alert an alarm on your PC and send you a picture of what’s going on at home.

To save you money in the long run, Spykee is Skype compatible (try saying that three times fast) so you can also use Spykee as a webcam to talk over the internet. You can even play MP3 music through its speakers. Imagine pumping your playlist through this little guy at your next party. Place a platter strategically on its head and he could even double-up to serve your guests.

When the batteries are low, Spykee will go back to its docking station automatically to recharge, unlike your mobile phone.

Priced at £179.90 (reduced from £199.90) from findmeagift.com Spykee is a great little investment for the house and not too shabbily priced considering its multi-functions.
