I think the iPad will really usher in the CPU power and screen size necessary to enjoy these programs because, for me, I was really limited by screen size. I guess it depends on what you intend to use different LogMeIn services for as there are definitely cheaper services out there, but as you say you only pay for a certain number of features. I've used LogMeIn Rescue in the past, and it was way too pricey. I'm currently using a service called Techinline Remote Desktop (www.techinline.com) which is not as fully-featured, but is more than enough to run connections with my remote clients and transfer files, and the catch is I'm now paying abour a quarter of what I was paying for the Rescue service.
