Well folks, it’s that time of year again, and once again the good people of Stuff, in association with What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision, are staging their annual StuffLive gadget and technology show. This year the show has moved to the Excel centre in London Docklands and will run from the 31st October - 2nd November 2008.

Moving the show to a larger location such as this means that there is even more space to display the best products of the year for gadget fans to enjoy. Wait! Wait! It’s not just a geek convention! This years show will feature some exclusive products that you probably won’t have seen yet (such as the world’s first hovering chair – now that I want to see!) as well as a raft of competitions and features that are sure to pique your interest.

The Guitar Hero World Tour stage will be hosting the UK’s first official Guitar Hero competitions, so all visitors that fancy their ‘axe’ wielding skills should make this a must-see on their visit, you’ve got to be in it to win it and there are prizes up for grabs; not to mention the kudos of playing live at the UK’s biggest consumer technology and gadget show.

Keeping with the rocking-out theme, the show will also feature the Gibson Robot SG & Les Paul Limited Edition guitars as well as 1 of only 100 sets of the incredible Kef Muon Series speakers designed by Ross Lovegrove. At six feet tall; this four-way, eight speaker, solid aluminium set should be a sight to behold despite being out of the price range of all but the most dedicated enthusiast; it’s the best part of £70,000!

There’s also the ‘Show Us Your Stuff’ live final which will see one lucky contender become Stuff.tv’s next online vidcast presenter as well as a whole host of other features and competitions.

Knowing the reputation of Stuff and What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision you can also expect to see plenty of home cinema demonstrations, game screenings, and product showcases from all the biggest names in the industry including; Canon, Sonos, TomTom, LG, ASUS, Archos ….the list goes on!

If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by the newest and best gadgets (eventually I’ll be dragged away from the world’s first electric, £40,000, superbike!) you can kick back for a while in the ‘Chill Out Lounge’ where you can play with the best and most luxurious games equipment money can buy, courtesy of the Games Room. Pool, Air Hockey, Pinball, ‘Old-Skool’ Arcade Games will all be present to help you relax and enjoy your time at the show.

As a technology enthusiast that’s quite a line up, and I’ve given you more than enough to whet any gadget fans appetite but if you’d like more information you can check out full listings or buy tickets for the event over at the newly relaunched StuffLive website. I for one, cannot wait!
