miShare for iPod: Share and Share Alike

Towards the end of a long day in the office, a few colleagues and I will often grab our mobiles and start ‘bluetoothing’ music or funny photos to one another. Unfortunately for those with an iPod, there’s no built-in Bluetooth and no quick sharing files with friends.
miShare is a neat little gadget, produced by a company of the same name from Brooklyn. It allows easy file sharing between iPods without the need for a computer or cables.
miShare is extremely easy to use. The device has an on switch that allows you to select music, photo or video, and one central button to do all the work. Once connected to both iPods, miShare will transfer a video, photo, one music track or even a playlist.
Using a high speed USB 2.0 connection, a typical song will take around ten seconds to transfer and miShare advise that a short home video in iPod format may take half a minute.
miShare is compatible with all Mini, Nano, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th generation models from storage capacity of 1GB to 160GB. Check yours from this list of iPod models. It can be used with iPods formatted by either Mac or Windows and should miShare’s software require updating in the future, such updates can be downloaded from mishare.com
miShare inform us that the device does not currently work with iPhone or iPod Touch, however firmware updates are being worked on to accommodate the different disk storage in these models.
So until the day that all iPods come with built-in Bluetooth, miShare seems like a handy gadget for ‘iPodders’ who like to share!
miShare is available for purchase from the U.S at miShare.com for $99.95 (approximately £57).
