Sony has launched its latest attack on Microsoft in its ongoing battle between the Playstation Move and Xbox 360's Kinect. The Sony-made website Yaybuttons simply displays a giant interactive Move controller on your screen with clickable buttons that launch speech bubbles at you grilling the button-less Kinect.
At first clicks the site says, 'See what you did there? You Clicked it.' Then continuous clicks of various buttons will tell you that; 'It turns out buttons are pretty important', 'Not like "Save the Whales" important', 'More like "not play games that suck" important'. Ambitious statements from Sony with most of the first games that are compatible with new technology are almost destined to be lacking in the 'not sucking' department.
Sony will go on to say "Some people think you don't need buttons" with a surprised "WHAT". I wonder who they could be evading from talking about. The whole show comes with various cringey and trendy humour, but is worth looking through for a couple of cheap laughs if you have the time and patience.
Well Sony have pretty much dug their own grave if they ever consider using button-less technology, but I'm sure many people are hoping they don't anyway. With the releases of both companies new 'controllers' it seems the war is heating up. What do you think about yaybuttons or on motion-controlling in general? Leave your thoughts below.
