The Movie World’s Going ‘Blu’ as Blu-Ray Get 85% of the Movie Market
After being dumped by Warner, HD DVD has suffered another blow in its quest to make the entertainment world HD DVD. Home Media Magazine has revealed that last week in the American next-gen DVD sales charts Blu-ray nabbed a whopping 85% of high definition disc sales against HD DVD’s 15% market share.
And if you thought that was bad! It was also revealed by the magazine out of the top 10 high-def software discs – every single one was a Blu-ray title.
After that news, for HD DVD manufacturers, I think the only thing that will be ‘Blu’ is their faces as the charts show that consumers and the industry are stepping exclusively onto the ‘Blu side’.
