venturershd70001.JPGIf you fancy a quite night in during the festive season then snuggle up as youre definitely in for a treat if you bag yourself the low cost SHD7001 HD DVD player from Venturer, which is due to be launched on the 29th December.

Its definitely goodies galore because as well as the player offering you happiness on the old purse strings, Venturer is giving the UK population two free HD DVDs, which include Hulk and Troy, a free HDMI cable and a voucher which allows customers to redeem five more free HD DVDs before the 31st January 2008.

Grab the SHD7001 exclusively from the QVC TV Home Shopping Channel from the 29th December for approx 199. All I can say to Blu-Ray is up your game as HD is fighting hard to secure its place on the winners line.

Surely the only real solution is to have player both HD DVD and Blu Ray compatible or an agreed upon standard.

The supposed war of the formats benefits no consumer.

its always the same, tapes vs CDs and VHS vs Beta, and now blu ray vs hd dvd… you just have to decide which one is the leader and which is the follower… me personaly i dont like sony products as its just a standard product with 80% extra added just for the name… but people out there still think that buying the best you get the best… not always true… i had a sony stereo and the sound was rubbish, but i got a panasonic and it was 10 times better… at the end of the day though as i have, its your own choice about which one u want to support,

if my memory is right im sure its:

    blu ray owned by sony
    hd dvd owned by toshiba

make your own mind up about which one will make it:

Venturer is a cheap back street make how come its so much in price? if the extra HD-DVDs are free etc, i have seen the likes of Goodmans and Pure HD DVD players for £39 in asda… so how do they get away with asking a high price for something that is quite frankly built to brake??? IE… Venturer is a cheap and nasty make????
