Toshiba to launch 3 New, 3rd gen HD DVD players in October

The pre-order pages of Amazon.com have been oozing with news of Toshiba’s third gen HD DVD players, which include the $299 HD-A3, the $399 HD-A30, and the “flagship” HD-A35 for $499.

Cheaper than the more expensive Blu-ray offerings, they’ll be readily available for the US (UK dates have not been revealed yet), which will be well before the festive season starts in December.

There are no photos or links but news is that they will be officially revealed at next month’s CEDIA Expo.
