AVG Release New Videos To Mark Launch of AVG 9.0
There was a time when your PC was secure, then came along viruses and we all started using anti-virus software. But it didn’t stop there, next was malware and spyware and so we had to start using anti-spyware software. The latest threat to your PC is data snatching where hackers steal your personal details, your credit card numbers, your digital identity. To mark the release of AVG 9.0, AVG Technologies, the security software specialists, has released a series of videos to increase awareness of the perils of data snatching featuring street magician Dynamo.
These videos coincide with the launch of AVG 9.0, the latest version of the companies Internet security product. AVG 9.0 is 50 percent faster than previous versions.
To make the new anti-virus/anti-spyware scanner faster AVG are using a new technique. During the initial scan files are marked as safe and are skipped in later scans unless the file structure changes. As a result, users experience dramatically reduced scan times by up to 50 percent.
To protected against data snatchers AVG 9.0 includes AVG Technologies LinkScanner offering, which can quickly and accurately determine whether or not a web page is hosting a phishing attack.

Pricing for a one-year, one-seat license for AVG Anti-Virus 9.0 starts at $34.99 (about £22) and a two-year, one-seat license for AVG Anti-Virus 9.0 starts at $51.99 (about £32). AVG Free 9.0 will be available mid-October and will be able to be downloaded at http://free.avg.com/.
