Blackberry and 7Digital team up for music downloads
Blackberry and 7Digital have teamed up to offer Blackberry users music downloads for the first time. The service will be available through an application downloaded from Blackberry’s App World.
The cost of downloading the songs looks to be pretty cheap, at around the 79 pence mark in the UK, and will be DRM free so you can switch them between any MP3 playing object as you wish.
This all comes about as Blackberry attempt to change their image from business only phones, and will go head to head with iTunes on the iPhone and the Comes With Music service from Nokia which is unlimited, so are Blackberry going a tad to far with this already clustered market? Because even though this is great for Blackberry users, it doesn’t make me want to go out an buy a Blackberry as much as it needs too.
