I’m going to let you in on a secret- I hate summer. Oh, warmer weather is great, and not get rained on more than once a week is a nice change of pace for car-less little me, but overall I’m not impressed. It’s hot, it’s sticky and since genetics decided that I will burn in ten seconds and NEVER tan I’ve decided that it’s just not worth it and made myself a lovely little den with a fan, an Xbox 360 and lots of pop. And now this gadget.
The Portable Misting Tower does exactly what it says on the tin- it’s a tower which is portable and gives out mist when attached to a regular garden hose. It reaches a height of seven feet and two inches (we all know that extra two inches really counts) so even the basketball players amongst us have a good chance of being satisfied- it’s adjustable for the rest of us. A fine mist of water is sprayed from the top bar, falls on your skin and returns your body temperature from Mercury to Pluto (or at least Earth).
It’s made from aluminium, so is very light weight and easy to move. Customer reviews on the site rate it a five star gadget, and praise its simple design, easy usability and general effectiveness. Stick on when you’re sat round the BBQ, or take it with you to the caravan. Or just lay and sunbathe while still keeping cool (better use water proof sunscreen though- mist may evaporate as it hits the skin, but you can never be too careful can you?).
And when the heat wave breaks, as it inevitably will in, oh say 48 hours or so, you can still bring out the Portable Misting Tower to keep the plants happy.
