The device was invented to reduce Carbon dioxide emissions which is a fair approach. However, in my home with the device installed, water trickles through which would keep me longer under the shower. I live in the 21 Century and would appreciate high pressure water out of my tap, not quantity of water, pressure (e.g. other European developed countries).
Approx. 50% of UK water is lost due to the poorly maintained water supply (leaks in pipes) which is owned by private companies. Now if you want decrease carbon dioxide wouldn't you want to decrease the water loss? You may ask why they do not do this, well consider the investment needed, which amounts to far more than the research, development, production and distribution of a silly little device which reduce comfort in showering. It is a very short term approach but typical from government because it favors the company that produces the device, the water supply companies but sadly increases wasted human energy in development.
If you would track down the real problem, you may realize that it is the increase of the egocentric thinking in our society. Economic growth. If we would accept that economic growth is not an advantage to the environment and truly were concerned about the environment, we would have to reduce the number of "I"'s in our language.

I live in Hopcroft Close and the leaflet was addressed for the attention of Mr Hopcro Jack. My name is David Scott.
